Obito Uchiha (うちはオビト, Uchiha Obito) is a chūnin-level shinobi from Konohagakure and was a member of Team Minato and was initially thought to have died at the Kannabi Bridge during the Third Shinobi World War. Obito's childhood was largely defined by his unwavering dream of becoming the Hokage. Following the tragic death of a girl who believed in him and he loved, Obito, who grew to hate the world that caused it, later donned a mask and began operating under the guise of Madara Uchiha, and later as Tobi (トビ, Tobi), becoming an international criminal and the benefactor for Akatsuki. He was one of the three remaining living Uchiha following the clan's genocide. He was also the second jinchūriki of the Ten-Tails[3] and one of the main antagonists of the series until his defeat.
